News out of Broward County right now. Chopper 6 over i95 and oakland park. Thats where a car caught fire in the northboundd lanes at the oakland park boulevard exit. Its not clear what sparked that fire, but it is out and luckily no one was hurt. Now the issue is traffic. This is a live look at i95 where the two right lanes are still blocked. Police said a cop was home with his children and sister when he woke up to the sound of broken glass. Detectives think there was a confrontation outside that led the homeowner to shoot and kiki an intruder. The officer involved here is a Miramar Police detective who will now be represented by the Broward County Police Benevolent association. Its a very nice neighborhood.
