The fire started just before 8 00 a. M. And took crews an hour to put out. Good afternoon. Im kristen carosa. The fire went to three alarms. Ray brewer is alive. This brought back memories for firefighters. Ray taken down the latter. Back in february 2010, there was a fire that took out a block here at hampton beach. The fire chief says that was in the back of their mind as they responded to this fire. It is the center of the universe. It was on fire. The fire chief was the first to spot the fire. I saw smoke coming from the alarms. The chief says the fire appeared to start on the second floor of the purple urchin seaside cafe. It started to run under the underside of the roof. They are going after it under the shingles. Ray the building was built in 1901. They were dealing with seasoned wood. Activated. I panicked.
