Regina Hymer, DNP, R.N., CENP, came from a military family and proudly followed her father and sister into service. Regina wasn’t really sure what her calling was until she enlisted to become a medic in the U.S Air Force. From that point forward, she knew that she wanted to be involved in health care.
“I’ve had a great career and the opportunity to work with some amazing people,” said Regina, now vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
Veterans like Regina underwent some of the best training in the world while in the military. This rigorous preparation readies servicemembers for combat and builds flexibility and resiliency to respond to any of life’s “what ifs.”
