Deputy Commissioner Dan Halem and chief union negotiator Bruce Meyer planned to meet Thursday to determine the next step in the stalled talks to reach a deal that would end Major League Baseball's lockout.

Representatives from MLB and the MLBPA held an informal 90-minute meeting Thursday to resume talks amid baseball's work stoppage, multiple sources told ESPN.

Negotiations broke off Tuesday after the ninth straight day of meetings in Jupiter, Florida, and baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that opening day and the first two series for each team this season had been canceled.

The Philadelphia Phillies have filled out their 2022 radio broadcast team to include four former players who will join Scott Franzke for road games. Larry Andersen will continue home game duties while Michael Bourn, Chad Durbin, Erik Kratz and Kevin Stocker take turns on the road. The 2022 season remains in limbo amid a contentious labor dispute that has canceled early season games.

There was no known decision on the timing of the next negotiating session.
