it was a gift to all of us. there is nothing bigger in your life that is going to happen. i didn't see it coming. we were at bruce's hospital one day. bruce was there getting some treatment. i went to visit him when i was visiting from new york. he told me this idea. it was an incredibly emotionally experience. i love his daughters patty and eden. it was very profound, but then, of course, who we are kicks in. in that moment with tears streaming down my face, i rejected the idea and told him there was going to be no need for council of dads. there will be no need for any of this because he was going to beat the cancer. he was going to live a long and healthy life. we wouldn't have to contribute anymore than we usually do to his daughters and his voice
