Prosecuting Attorney Michael Wood filed charges Tuesday against David J. Case, 35, of Troy. Wood said Cases blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

According to the bail request form, David Case was on probation at the time of the crash and is currently in custody for a probation violation.

The Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney Mike Wood said charges are expected to come down against the suspected drunk driver.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Steven Tucker was off-duty, riding his motorcycle at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Highway J when his life was cut short.

The crash killed a 60-year-old motorcyclist, Steven T. Tucker, who worked as a deputy with the Lincoln County Sheriffs Department.

Steven Tucker joined the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office in 2023, the sheriff's office said.
