Nearly two weeks after a levee broke on the Pajaro River and flooded the nearby town, residents have received little in terms of federal help. They want to know why.

The migrant town of Pajaro, Calif., was flooded last week during powerful storms that caused the levee to break. Now, another storm is moving in.

An incoming storm threatens to overflow the swollen Salinas River, imperiling the lives of farmworkers and crops and triggering evacuations.

The latest storm will create flooding concerns along much of the California coast and Central Valley, and over the southern Sierra Nevada foothills.

As officials assess flood damage in the Central Coast and Central Valley, more rain moves in. Southern California will see rain Tuesday and Wednesday.

For years, experts had been warning Monterey and Santa Cruz County that the levee along the Pajaro River could fail.
