The MBTA has yet to allocate the $62 million necessary to build a new station, according to state Rep. Jim Hawkins.

A slew of service changes will be implemented in November on multiple subway lines and a commuter rail to “improve service reliability”, the MBTA announced Wednesday.

The latest power problem occurred near Copley, where another power-related issue halted service on Saturday.

The MBTA has been hit with one issue after the other. One of the most concerning is along the new Green Line Extension, which is in need of serious repair less than a year after opening.

MBTA General Manager Phil Eng announced last week that more than half the extension tracks need repairs after officials found some track rails were too narrow.

MBTA officials are considering a plan that would close the Green Line Extension earlier than normal each night for up to two weeks this fall to repair large stretches of rails that are too narrow.

Recently, Eng was made aware of a problem others had known about for more than two years: much of the track on the Extension does not meet specifications for width, or gauge.
