Fans of the Kampung Baru bubur lambuk or savoury porridge will be able to enjoy the delicious dish this year as the annual tradition of serving the treat (which dates back more than 100 years) resumes this Ramadan.
The annual tradition f distributing bubur lambuk by the Kampung Baru Jamek Mosque was halted last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
But Mosque chairman Datuk Mohd Khay Ibrahim said the National Security Council (MKN) has approved the programme of preparing, cooking and distributing bubur lambuk for the public this year.
