(Breeze photos by Robert Emerson) PAWTUCKET – Back in the early 1940s, the 3-mile Bucklin Brook was mostly buried, cast aside to make way for a new ballpark named McCoy Stadium and other development. On Sunday morning, a year after the Friends of the Ten Mile adopted Bucklin Brook, a group of about 20 volunteers gathered at the last remaining section of the brook before it runs into the Seekonk River and Narragansett Bay at Bishop’s Bend. They cleaned out tons of garbage from this 200-yard area originally left open.
