Jabari Edwards is asking a federal judge to dismiss asset forfeiture claims against his businesses arising from his June arrest by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering and making false statements.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, among other agencies, conducted a raid at Court Square Towers this morning.

Local business partners Jabari Edwards and Antwann Richardson have been indicted by a federal grand jury for multiple charges related to misusing more than $2 million in Paycheck Protection Plan and Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program funding.
