In the 1920s, houses were built similar from the corner of 26th avenue and ocean avenue. These houses are on 40foot wide and 100foot deep lot. They have an easement in the back which take away 12 feet from the lot. Each house has a driveway into the garage under the house, and then, all three houses had decks that were built over the driveway. These two houses still have the original deck, but the subject house at 3001, at the corner, has a deck enclosed to create an office in 1996. Around 2007, a glass buildout was built in the back yard, and then, a storage room was built here into the setback. And then, also in 2018, a roof deck was built over this grass greenhouse area. Has been permitted, i have to sign five penalty of perjury that everything in the final set was inspected. I have to do a cleanup permit or importing myself to the end of the job under the structure observation and special inspection. So i have to do that. I have no choice, unless i just say, those things dont matter and i will do a signoff letter for the concrete cylinders that i took that were sitting at the job site. And i will use the egregious, but an overly strong word in this case. The greatest deviation seems to me was the excavation. Yes. You knew in advance you were going to abuse the permit,. It was a 20yard lock in the west garage that we removed. Way below any threshold that even occurred to me would get anywhere near the 50 cubic yard threshold. I couldnt get into the garage because the tenant who had position of it said if i see anyone in the garage i estimated the size of the rock and i show it in the section that there is a rock there. This one permit, is that correct . Yes. Thats usually when youre doing something with multiple permits you cant do in one. Oftentimes the scope of work is bifurcated because you have something that can be done over the counter. You dont need to wait the six months or whatever to get a variance. In this case that option would be foregone if its in one permit . Yeah, because given where we are, we would need to have everything in one permit. So we are past that point.
