Bombay High Court said that the incident proved that there existed absolute lawlessness in the municipal wards in Mumbai as well as its adjoining areas.
The incident was marked as a Level-1 house collapse incident.
MUMBAI: A ceiling slab collapsed on the third floor at Bhakti Palace building on New Link Road in Dahisar (East). Three people were rescued by the fire brigade. It is a seven-floor residential building.
Officials said the ceiling between the 3rd and 2nd floor of this private owned building crashed.

Those rescued were identified as Rina Farnandis (43), Morris Farnandis (52) and Licham Farnandis (13). The incident occurred at around 3.45am on Saturday. The fire and BMC officials are still at the spot. No injuries were reported in the incident.
