04/02/2021 The University of Wolverhampton has been awarded funding for women to study selected Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects. The British Council, which specialises in international cultural and educational opportunities, has launched the Scholarships for Women in STEM programme in partnership with 19 UK universities aimed at benefiting women from the Americas, South Asia and South East Asia. The University is one of ten universities alongside Imperial College, the University of York and Durham University, who have been chosen to host women from the Americas - North, Central and South America - covering countries including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
