Pennsylvania Game Commission begins move to digital hunting licenses
Updated Jan 26, 2021;
With Pennsylvania’s new hunting, furtaker, fishing and boating licensing system able to provide sportsmen with electronic versions of the licenses they buy, the Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners has started the process of allowing hunting and furtaking eLicenses to be carried afield as an alternative to paper licenses.
Under the plan given preliminary approval by commissions, harvest tags would continue to be issued in physical form on durable stock. No electronic versions of the harvest tags would be issued or authorized for use, and the durable-stock versions would need to be carried in the field when hunting in big-game seasons or trapping in seasons where harvest tags are used.
