(CHICAGO) The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 4,699 new COVID-19 cases in Illinois on Monday with 98 new deaths. The new statewide totals show 905,069 confirmed cases and 15,299 COVID-19 related deaths. (CARTERVILLE) Teachers who sued after part-time instructors were hired to lead their classes at a Southern Illinois community college have won an appeal from the State Supreme Court. John A. Logan College in Carterville laid off several tenured faculty members during a budget crisis move four years ago, back in 2016. The statewide Innovative Ideas Contest brings IDOT employees together to share creative solutions to common problems. Winners are selected on their ability to save money and improve safety.
