MPNnow BRISTOL  Spencer Jones was about eight years old when his grandfather introduced him to the Burning Springs. Walking up the rocky stream to a big waterfall was something Spencer had done for as long as he could remember with his grandfather, Alan Jones. But this day went a little differently after his grandfather said, “Let’s go up the creek.” “He brings this can. And says he’ll put the creek on fire for me,” Spencer recalled for a curious group of visitors to the Jones property in Bristol last Saturday. The family opened their historic property to the public for two consecutive Saturdays, with another tour this coming Saturday, to witness the phenomenon first discovered centuries ago.
