Kelly Pilipovich figured her husband’s debit card had been hacked.
When the wife of Dave Pilipovich, the longtime Air Force head coach who this season has spent the past couple months living out of hotels as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach for the UNM Lobo men’s basketball team, saw last month’s statement, she called her husband and had a question.

X marks the spot
Lost in the bad loss Saturday for the UNM Lobos was a career performance by Valdir Manuel.
The 6-foot-10 forward who teammates just refer to as “X” has quietly emerged as arguably the second best player on the Lobo roster behind senior guard Makuach Maluach, who each had 25-point games against the Spartans (Maluach’s was on Thursday in a win, Manuel’s was on Saturday in a loss).

Dixie State Postgame Press Conference (Men s Basketball - 12/17/20)
SALT LAKE CITY The first meeting between Southern Utah and Dixie State as Division I rivals had a little bit of everything.
Rim-rattling dunks? Check.
Double-digit comebacks? This game had two of them.
The last one favored the Thunderbirds, though.
John Knight III had a game-high 22 points and five assists, and Aanen Moody added 15 points on five 3-pointers to help Southern Utah hand Dixie State its first loss of the season, 85-78, in front of a limited-capacity crowd at the America First Event Center in Cedar City.
Tevian Jones added 17 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Thunderbirds (5-1), and Ivan Mandunic supplied 10 points and eight rebounds for a home team that outrebounded the Trailblazers 46-32.
