Butler primary school teacher accused of putting special needs student in a headlock

The child s mother said he no longer wants to return to school.  Other students allegedly ran out of the classroom desperate to use the facilities, and were locked out from learning as a result. He allegedly made some students write essays to justify why they should be allowed to go to the bathroom during class time.  The teacher allegedly also told the Year 5 class that Santa Claus wasn t real.  Another allegation suggested the teacher prevented one student from using his sensory fidget toy, which is part of his behaviour management plan.  A report outlines one student asked the teacher to use the bathroom ten times in a 1.5-hour period. A relief teacher at a Western Australia primary school is under investigation after being accused of assaulting and abusing students. An 11-year-old Year Five student at Butler Primary School north of Perth told 9News she saw one of her friends put into a headlock . One of the children in our class said that he felt quite unsafe, and the teacher yelled at him, she said. A substitute teacher is being investigated at a Perth school.(9News) The mother of a child with special needs claimed the boy was put in a headlock until he surrendered his special fidget toy. The male substitute teacher is also accused of refusing drink and toilet breaks and demanding persuasive essays as justification.
