At its meeting Monday night, the Cabrillo College Board of Trustees will consider creating a new ad hoc committee tasked with exploring initiatives and programs in support of Indigenous students and Native American studies at the school.
The school's Board of Trustees formed the committee and launched an investigation after it received at least three complaints earlier this year from community members that Trustee Steve Trujillo shared a series of posts – ranging from March to July – with the offensive language on his Facebook account.
