Good morning, thank you for having me. Around 7 15 this morning, police officers, Law Enforcement from the university police, the Wisconsin State Patrol and state and county and Madison Police that the encampment would be taken down and they remained on site until about 9 00 a. M. They left all tents. They left tables up with supplies and water for protesters. All tents were removed. Over a dozen individuals were arrested. And the police have left, some Campus Police are patrolling the area, but there are a couple of tents that have gone back up since police left. And so, cat, this when did this intensify. I understand that a lot of those students and the

Tim, thank you for taking a moment to join us. Walk us through what youre seeing and whats happening there. Well, ana, its absolute chaos here on campus, if im honest with you here at wb madison. Ill step out of the way. Law enforcement officials are in the distance. They have their riot shields out, and theyve been advancing on protesters all morning long. They are clearing out an encampment thats been here since Monday Morning at around 9 00 a. M. That encampment consisted of about two dozen or so tents, but most of those tents are now gone and Law Enforcement are going tent by tent taking them down. Hundreds of demonstrators have been arrested as students across the country protest israels war against hamas in gaza. Local police moved in on some of the Student Encampments as some universities urged protesters to disperse. The University Of Georgia confirmed Police Arrested protesters who had set up tents on that campus. Theres no sign these demonstrations are slowing down. Just this morning, the president of Columbia University in new york said the school will not divest from israel. She added, quote, one groups rights to express their views cannot come at the expense of another groups right to speak, teach, and learn.
