TEWKSBURY — Every community has an iconic restaurant and for Tewksbury it’s been the Deli King. Known for their plate-sized pancakes, eggs and bacon, souvlaki and kebabs, coffee, and fried
the number of jobs created and the fact the wages continue to increase at a good pace faster than the rate of inflation. a lot of these opportunities are going to high school graduates and in some cases high school dropouts and they are getting training by business means there are more opportunities for people. a lot of folks on the sidelines not looking for work and not counted are coming back to the labor force. actually we had a big jump in the number of folks participating. they are coming back to the economy. we have an economy from barack obama where one of 20 folks said they were disabled and getting unemployment for social security administration. rob: those people were not counted in unemployment numbers under obama. absolutely correct. they were on the welfare line. instead they are on trump s cafeteria line where fortunes are large and plates are full.
cross every day between juarez and el paso. expedited screening. most, if not all of these students come from juarez, go into el paso and literally go to school every single day. for these students what they were doing is as normal as standing in the cafeteria line. she showed her student i.d. and birth certificate. you re used to this process? all the students we met were american citizens. this is quite a process to go through, guys, just to go to school. most of their parents weren t. this student told us her parents moved to juarez last year after living in the u.s. her entire life. why did they want to move back? i don t know. they felt pressure, you know, the whole situation, the whole i.c.e. thing. so they wanted to come back. they decided to go back to juarez because they don t want to get deported? yeah. this student wearing a tiger t-shirt to show her school pride lives in both cities.
steve: 31. ainsley: what do you remember about that day? that was sauna bell santa bel island. ainsley: shared that life. it all began there. steve: it did. at the end of our first date. i was down at nbc in washington. i worked in the news department. she worked in the sports department. i worked on her for about a month over the cafeteria line. finally got her to go out on a date with me. at the end of the first date you are going to take i m crazy some day we will be married. and then she asked me to please leave. and then i proposed a month later. and we were married five months later. and that was 31 years ago today. ainsley: it actually worked. usually quick, quick people are like no, it s not going to work. you don t know each other. steve: it all worked. thank you very much. let s bring in kellyanne conway. we have lots to talk about on this friday morning. good morning, kellyanne.
