GEORGETOWN — Smithson Valley boys golf capped off its impressive season on May 22-23, finishing as silver medalists at the Class 5A state tournament.

MCALLEN — After capturing a district championship, Smithson Valley boys golf continued the trend winning the Region IV-5A tournament title from April 19-20 at Champion Lakes Golf Course.

The slain students were Madisyn Baldwin, 17; Tate Myre, 16; Hana St. Juliana, 14; and Justin Shilling, 17, authorities said.

Michigan gunman Ethan Crumbley, who killed four students in a high school shooting, likely had a weapon on him during a behavioral meeting with his parents, school officials hours before the rampage.

"We heard two gunshots and after that, my teacher ran into the room, locked it, we barricaded and then we covered the windows and hid," senior Aiden Page told CNNs
