President says more energy and focus must be directed at supporting the resumption of the peace process

While Mideastern leaders focused on prioritizing Palestinian rights for the first time in decades, Western leaders condemned Hamas.

Participants of the Cairo Summit for Peace reached an agreement on humanitarian aid being sent to the Gaza Strip on Saturday.

Palestinian issue remains key agenda at Arab summits

UN Secretary-General António Guterres reiterated his call for sustained humanitarian aid to be delivered to Gaza in remarks to the Cairo Summit for Peace on Saturday.

  AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in a meeting on Saturday, reaffirmed the need to step up and unify Arabefforts to stop the war on Gaza.

UN leaders and agencies have expressed approval of a humanitarian aid convoy entering Gaza via the Rafah border with Egypt. However, they stress its just a small step and call for an immediate ceasefire.

While Arab and Muslim states called for an immediate end to Israels offensive, Western countries mostly voiced more modest goals. | World News
