The spirit of giving was alive and well with local first responders on Nov. 26. Caledon OPP and Caledon Fire hosted 40 children from the local community in its annual Shop with a First Responder event (previously known as Shop with a Cop). Each family was provided with a budget to shop at the Bolton Canadian Tire before being treated to a breakfast with Santa Claus at a local banquet hall.
School principal, Lesley Kennedy, received devastating news that one of her students, Ellie Wratten, and her mother, Jenny Bullock, who were found dead following a tragic house fire. In honor of Ellie, the community came together to dedicate a new inclusive play space at Caledon Central Public School.
