Master plan for 26 entry-level houses on Low Lane in Calne Outline plans for 26 houses on Low Lane in Calne have been approved. The outline bid for 26 entry-level houses by Robert Hitchins Ltd was called in to be examined by the Northern Area Board by Cllr Ian Thorn. While a full planning application is yet to be submitted, this bid related to creating vehicle access from Low Lane. Currently 160 letters have been sent to the council objecting to the proposals. In public participation, residents said the reduced visibility proposed would create hazardous conditions for cyclists and walkers using Low Lane. Chairman of Calne Town Council’s Planning and Development committee, Glenis Ansell urged the committee to reject the bid.
