Graduation filled with emotion and a couple of new degrees
Families and friends of graduates had a front-row seat at the spring 2021 commencement ceremonies and guests and graduates remained together throughout each ceremony. The indoor ceremonies were purposefully designed to follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines while ensuring a special celebration experience for graduates and families.

After overcoming several obstacles to get into and stay in college, Laura Vinson became the first student from the Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) Georgia scholarship program to earn her degree.
After studying multiple concentrations of music on UNG s Dahlonega Campus and student-teaching, Camden Pruitt was the first to receive UNG s new Bachelor of Music degree.

What are your greatest fears? For most people, public speaking is at the top of the list. However, this is a skill that is important no matter what career field you enter.
Many Cannon County 4-H members are learning to overcome their nerves when speaking to a group. Congratulations to all the 4-H members which competed in the Cannon County 4-H Public Speaking Contest either in-person or virtually. After winning their school classroom and county competition, three 4-H members competed in the Sub-Region Speech Contest on April 13, 2021 in Lebanon, TN against 10 other counties.
