To save a wild jack rabbit. Yeah. It is heart breaking and interesting to watch. This is the scene along a highway in Ventura County. He sees a wild rabbit dart into the flames. You see the panic in his body language. He is able to coax the rabbit out and tuck its into his hoodie and i assume brings it to safety. This is a small act of compassion caught on camera by a news photographer. It has gone viral because in situations where there is travesty and devastation, people hold on any small kind act. It is gripping when you watch it. Right. I found myself watching it three, four, five times. It is amazing how much he wanted to save that animal. When he jumps up and puts his hands in his hair. He is at a loss of what to do. Then he stays and takes the little guy to safety. It reminded me of one small act of kindness that happened during the north bay wildfires. One of our reporters did a story on a family that had lost their home. The mom said i just need a play pen for my little boy. I
