After postponing the event twice, they have now confirmed that this year’s event will not go ahead due to the pandemic. The annual event was due to take place in southern California over two weekends in April but the region’s public health officer Dr Cameron Kaiser says it will not go ahead.

It was, of course, ultimately cancelled entirely, leaving headliners Travis Scott, Rage Against The Machine and Frank Ocean in the lurch.

Riverside County health officials announced Friday that the sister festivals, both of which had been set for April in Indio, Calif., will no longer take place as a result of the worldwide epidemic of COVID-19 disease. The 2021 festivals, organized by Goldenvoice, were supposed to be something of a redo after last year s scrapped events. A representative for Goldenvoice did not immediately respond to request for comment.
