Organisers of the legendary music festival broke the news earlier this morning.
After postponing the event twice, they have now confirmed that this year’s event will not go ahead due to the pandemic.
The annual event was due to take place in southern California over two weekends in April but the region’s public health officer Dr Cameron Kaiser says it will not go ahead.

The usual time in April had been the aim for this year’s Coachella Festival.
Dr. Cameron Kaiser, public health officer for Riverside County, delivered the news that Coachella has been pulled again due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“Due to the pandemic, Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser today (Jan. 29) signed a public health order canceling Coachella Valley Music and Arts, Stagecoach Country Music festivals planned for April 2021,” a message on Twitter reads. “We look forward to when the events may return.”
It was back in March last year, as lockdown restrictions first started to take hold, when Coachella 2020 was initially postponed to October. It was, of course, ultimately cancelled entirely, leaving headliners Travis Scott, Rage Against The Machine and Frank Ocean in the lurch.
