As the president said yesterday, we salute our brave veterans and recall the sacrifices they made for our freedom and for our nations strength. Some 9 million americans served in those jungles. And more than 58,000 fell in defense of freedom. Their names now enshrined on a black granite wall not far from here. So to all our Vietnam Veterans who are gathered here in the midst of this 50th anniversary, i say thank you and welcome home.
