PIP as a payment from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), could therefore provide assistance to those with arthritis or a range of other conditions. Arthritis is common within the UK, and is a condition which causes pain and inflammation in the joints. The NHS estimates more than 10 million people currently have arthritis or other similar joint conditions, across the country.
