the evening went on. looting increased. and confrontations increased. in the suburbs of cairo, there s a lot of momentum building here. people as far as the eye can see. i don t know what images you re getting, but there s people everywhere. this is as crowded as the square could get. hundreds of thousands. and people from all walks of life, businessmen, families, kids, everybody is out here. some of them have already set up camp, are sitting down in the main square. this looks like it s going to go on. at this point we don t know what s going to happen. it s still unclear. what is clear is that public life cannot go on like this. business cannot carry on as usual. remember, tomorrow the stock market is supposed to open. it plunged 10% last week.
