Record tides from nor'easter erode Charleston-area beaches | SC Climate and Environment News
The Dec. 17 nor’easter brought heavy rainfall with record high tides that peaked at 9.86 feet and higher-than-predicted flooding throughout the city and along the coast. Folly Beach, Sullivans Island, Isle of Palms and Kiawah Island reported flooding and significant beach erosion.
