To meet the need for rental housing in supply-constrained areas, Gecina (Paris:GFC) and Woodeum have signed a partnership agreement with a view to developing 1,000 low-carbon, timber-frame housing units over four years (indicative timeline) in the Paris Region and major cities across France. Following the introduction of the RE2020 environmental regulations in France, this partnership confirms the ambition of both groups to reduce the carbon footprint of living spaces.
Since 2017, Gecina has been rolling out a strategy to create value within its residential portfolio of 6,000 apartments. In 2020, to further strengthen its capabilities for taking action, capitalize on opportunities for growth and develop its services, the Group created a dedicated subsidiary to house this portfolio.

British cleaning manufacturer Delphis Eco and packaging converter Pregis have become the latest companies to sign The Climate Pledge, a global initiative founded by Amazon and Global Optimisation in 2019 that is committed to meeting the Paris Climate Agreement by 2040.
Until today, The Climate Pledge had 53 signatories across 18 industries and 12 countries. Today, 47 more signatories were announced – including Delphis Eco and Pregis – taking the total number of global signatories to 100.
Delphis Eco uses recycled plastics across all of its product range, in addition to vegetable ink for its labels so no water is used in the process. The brand also utilises plant-based sustainable and renewable cleaning products, and was the first UK manufacturer to achieve EU Ecolabel accreditation.

The addition of just a touch of graphene could make the world s most ubiquitous building material stronger, more durable and even a touch greener.
The first graphene-enhanced concrete is about to hit the American market. April 2021 will see the culmination of a project between the Advanced Materials Division of Thomas Swan¹ and Concrene² a UK-based nanotech company.
The addition of a tiny amount of graphene supplied by Thomas Swan to concrete improves the building material s hardening process and results in a lighter and stronger structure. But, there is arguably a more important element to the addition of graphene to concrete.
After the announcement, Zürich Airport stated that “
The winning design, presented by Nordic, Grimshaw, Haptic, and STUP, best fits the defined project objectives: merging Swiss efficiency and Indian hospitality, creating a modern and seamless passenger experience, setting new benchmarks in sustainability for airport terminal buildings in India, envisioning green spaces inside and around the building, offering a concept for a future airport city, and providing flexible expansion options to serve 30 million passengers per year in the future”.
We are very happy to have won the confidence of Zurich Airport through our competition design for the new Delhi Noida International Airport. DNIA will become a unique new gateway to the world city of Delhi and to the state of Uttar Pradesh. In this project Nordic, Grimshaw, Haptic, and STUP will combine the collective experience and knowledge from the airports in Hyderabad, Oslo, Istanbul, Zurich to create a truly modern, innovative and gr
