The first was for the general municipal election in March, which seemed to settle all but two races – the council seats for districts 1 and 6 – for which a runoff election was called. But on Tuesday, the Tuscaloosa City Council officially called for a third one – a special election for District 7 – because the top vote-getter in the March general election was declared ineligible to hold office by a state court judge.
