“The thought of having the Mad Hatter fundraiser fully online was not something any of us were familiar with,” said Carolyn Creasey, auxiliary president.
The dedicated group was undaunted, though, knowing how much good their work does, so, “We unanimously decided to push forward and not let another child fall behind just because we couldn’t hold an in-person fundraiser,” said Creasey.
After holding such a successful event during a difficult time, auxiliary members are confident in moving forward with their mission to help the children of Transition House.
More than 150 children are housed at Transition House each year. Families and children are offered free childcare through the Infant Care Center, technology, and literacy programs, as well as tutoring and homework help. The resources, tools and materials provided are focused on enriching the children academically, physically and mentally.
