The Jefferson City Renegades’ offense exploded Thursday night, leading them to a 14-6 win against the Joplin Outlaws to boost their playoff odds and end a six-game losing streak in MINK League action at Vivion Field. Jefferson City was close to securing a playoff berth, but a walk-off win Thursday night for the Nevada Griffons puts that on hold for at least one more day.

It was another good starting pitching performance that didn’t result in a win Sunday night for the Jefferson City Renegades. Carter Gorling threw seven strong innings for the Renegades, but the Joplin Outlaws hit a game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth inning and outlasted Jefferson City for a 5-4 victory in 13 innings in MINK League action at Joe Becker Stadium.

The Jefferson City Renegades only trailed entering two half innings, and they didn’t last long. The Renegades got ahead early, then came back late for a walk-off 7-6 win against the Joplin Outlaws during MINK League action Sunday night at Vivion Field.

WATERLOO — The DeKalb FFA Chapter competed in the 2021 Practical Forestry competition on April 24. Practical Forestry puts many different skills to the test.
