A 32-year-old Carson City man as arrested Tuesday in the area of Roop and Hot Springs Road for misdemeanor suspicion of destruction of property, a sheriffs deputy report said.

A fundraiser for the Children’s Museum in Carson City will be held this upcoming Tuesday at Piazza Bar, to help with their funding shortage due to COVID-19. The cost is $39 per person, and 25 percent of all proceeds will go to the museum.

On Tuesday, March 7, the Capital City Arts Initiative [CCAI] will present a talk by arts writer Chérie Louise Turner. Carson City Fire Department and sheriffs deputies responded Wednesday afternoon for a fire alarm at Carson Middle School. At around 1 p.m. a fire alarm went off at the school. According to CCFD Battalion Chief Jason Danen it was a false alarm and said someone pulled the manual pull station alarm. There wasnt any fire or smoke, he said.
