The Cascade River from its mouth to the Rockport-Cascade Road bridge is now open for the fishing of gamefish and coho salmon seven days a week through Oct. 31.

Visits to Mori Art Museum, Artizon Museum, Takeo Obayashi's Yu-un Guesthouse, Enoura Observatory, and more were on tap during Tokyo Gendai in July.

The river sits in the Glacier Peak Wilderness area and is in no danger of human caused pollution or other impacts.

Green River is considered a pristine river largely untouched by human-caused degradation, according to a state ecology department rep.
