County staff stepped up to assist where needed regarding issues related to the pandemic. In order to assist businesses a one-time grant was provided along with the reduction of liquor license renewal fees for the second year in a row. Norikane also said that in the beginning of July another grant was awarded and commissioners approved earmarking $1.2 million toward direct cash assistance to local businesses where a total of 184 businesses and 27 nonprofits were helped.
