Like Cassandra, Scylla generally allows clients to write to any node at any time even when nodes are crashed or partitioned away. Whether a write is durable depends on whether it reaches a node which can store that row; whether a write is acknowledged to the client depends on whether enough nodes respond to satisfy the client’s requested consistency level.
