Tuesday, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office announced a $1-million settlement to the Archuleta Family, whose daughter died in the El Paso County Jail in 2022.
The family of Dezaree Archuleta says they are filing a lawsuit against the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and Wellpath, the company contracted by the jail to provide medical care to inmates.
The El Paso County Coroner's Office has identified the two jail inmates who were found dead in their cell hours apart on Sunday night and Monday morning.
