Manuel Padilla is a foster parent to four teenagers.
âItâs not always hunky-dory, thatâs for sure, Padilla said. It comes with its good and its bad just like anybody elseâs family.â
Normally, the four teens would be in the kitchen helping. He says theyâre very self-sufficient. However, he says they canât be on camera.
âItâs a safety thing, Padilla said. Itâs to keep them safe. Itâs to make sure that people from their past [don t] get to know where theyâre at.â
Two children have died after running away from residential treatment centers in Colorado. Police said they are overwhelmed with calls from these places.
