you watching us in the u.s., canada and all around the world. i m kim brunhuber. ahead on cnn newsroom, a judge considers bail on the pentagon leaked case. why prosecutors say he is a flight risk. a first in modern history. former vice president mike pence testifies about his former boss, donald trump. and reports of fighting in khartoum, despite a new cease-fire, as citizens rush to evacuate. we re learning startling details about the young man accused of leaking documents online. jack teixeira had an arsenal in weapons in his massachusetts home and a history of making violent threats. it came to light in a bail hearing on thursday. jason carol has details. reporter: the detention hearing got under way, with jack tei teixeira s father taking the stand. he said he would not hesitate to report his son if he was released on bail and broke any rules. the air national guardsman is not a flight risk or a security risk and that teixeira did not intend for the classified i
several hundred bishops, there will be 70 nonbishop participants. he says half of them should be women and he wants young people included. what the meetings do is look at the recommendations to make to the pope and vote on the proposals. this has been going on since 2021 in the catholic church around the world. listening to lay people, people not priests and some of their concerns. those concerns come to the vatican. and from that, the proposals are made to the pope. it s something that women s groups within the catholic church have been wushing for for some time, to have a vote at the table. what remains to be seen is just what the proposals will be. the vatican says the agenda will be published in may. they will go for a month-long
accountable. that s first time i ve heard a pope say that. that s what people have been asking for. so this is a process, i don t think we can expect everything to happen all at once because this has been such an ongoing issue and problem. but pope francis is taking steps that no pope so far has taken and i think will continue to see more. yeah, just this last spring instituting his zero tolerance policy which obviously is something that a lot of folks looked at and said that s a very good idea to move forward with that. delia, one of the other things that has been discussed here, the pope vowing to make reparations. do we know anything about what that would look like? well, there are a number of ways to make reparations. obviously one of them is financial. that s been going on for at least the last ten years in the catholic church around the world. another is what we have seen this morning, a kind of person psychological reconciliation. and in fact, the vatican spokesman said that
