Two teenagers, R Mounish and S Kabeesh, drowned in the Cauvery river near Modakurichi. Mounish, 18, was a first-year diploma student and Kabeesh, 17, was a Class XII student. They drowned while bathing in the river and their bodies were retrieved after a joint operation by authorities. Investigation launched by Modakurichi police.
