CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 Revised Date Sheets Released

Image credit: Shutterstock New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on has released the revised date sheets for Class 10 and Class 12 students on its official website cbse.gov.in. As per the new date sheet, the Class 10 Science exam will be held on May 21. Earlier, the Maths paper was scheduled for this date, which will be now conducted on June 2. Other Class 10 exams which have been rescheduled include French, German, Arabic, Sanskrit, Malayalam, Punjabi, Russian and Urdu. Apart from these changes, no changes have been made to the start and end dates of CBSE Class 10 board exams. Class 10 theory exams will begin on May 4 and end on June 7.

According to official data, as compiled on February 11, 2021, from all the KVs, an average of 65 per cent students of Class 10, and 67 per cent students of Class 12 are physically attending classes all over the nation. For the Classes 9 and 11, the students’ attendance has been recorded below 50 per cent. An average of 42 per cent students of Class 9, and 48 per cent of Class 11 students are attending classes in an offline mode.

Class board exams postponed to May-June, new rules released for schools

UPDATED: February 11, 2021 23:21 IST CBSE Board has decided to reschedule the board examinations 2021 to May-June due to the Covid-19 situation. A number of schools have been seeking advice from CBSE on how to go about the examinations of classes 9 and 11 and the beginning of the new academic session. The board has allowed the schools to conduct classes 9 and 11 exams following some protocols. CBSE also advised schools to start the new academic session from 1st April, depending on state guidelines In reply, the CBSE has released a notification with four directives, including 1. CBSE has announced the date sheet for classes 10 and 12 and provided sufficient time for preparation to the students for their board examinations.

Board Exams 2021, JEE, NEET Will Be Based On Reduced Syllabus: Education Minister

New Delhi: Board Exams 2021: While interacting with students of Kendriya Vidyalaya today, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, in the live webinar announced that the students will be asked questions in the upcoming board exams 2021 on the basis of the revised CBSE syllabus. The Education Minister further said that the engineering entrance test -- JEE Main 2021, and medical entrance test -- NEET 2021, will however be held on the basis of the complete syllabus as determined by the competitive exams administering body. The education boards including the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and several state boards have reduced the syllabus of Class 10 and Class 12 as a one-time measure considering the hardships the students were facing due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While interacting with teachers on Tuesday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations will be held in 2021 on a reduced syllabus. “Over 30% of the total syllabus has been cut and some states have also announced a similar move while others are expected to do the same,” he said.
