Zomato Share: Shares of Zomato fell nearly 3 per cent on Tuesday after the Competition Commission ordered a detailed probe against the food delivery platform for alleged unfair business practices.

The Competition Commission of India said that the commercial interest of the food delivery platforms could adversely affect their neutrality.

The stock opened 4 per cent lower at Rs 82.75 against the previous close of Rs 86.20. 

The order comes months after the National Restaurant Association of India alleged Zomato and Swiggy were misusing consumer data and provided priority to exclusive contractors.

The DG is directed to carry out a detailed investigation and submit a report to the Commission, within 60 days, CCI stated.
