On 29 November 2020, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission ( CCPC ) announced that it had reached agreement with Ticketmaster Ireland ( Ticketmaster ) to close its ticketing investigation on the basis of Section 14B commitments. The CCPC began its investigation in January 2017 under the Competition Act 2002, as amended. According to the CCPC, Ticketmaster holds a very significant market share in the supply of ticketing services for live events.
