Prosecutors have presented ample evidence to show Darrell Brooks Jr., 39, probably committed felonies, Waukesha County Court Commissioner Kevin Costello said.

The complaint alleged that Darrell Brooks, 39, just before the tragedy, Brooks drove her ex-girlfriend around, steering with one hand and punching her in the face with the other.

Darrell Brooks now faces 61 counts of recklessly endangering safety, six counts of hit-and-run involving death, two counts of bail jumping and two counts of domestic abuse battery.

Evers announcement Tuesday evening follows the recommendation of an independent opinion from an outside counsel and goes against the wishes of seven people who signed a petition seeking Chisholm's removal.
