Developers want to build so called "affordable" housing on the land where the YMCA exists, but in order to do so, they want the city to give away Centennial Pool and associated land to the privately owned YMCA in exchange for the YMCA land. This scheme (scam) ends up with taxpayers getting hit with a tax to bail out the developer and YMCA.
